Sony PMW-EX3 Camcorder

The EX3 has now been super seeded by the PMW-300.

As one of the first 'hand held' HD ready cameras, the PMW-EX3 is a compact camcorder with an interchangeable lens system that incorporates three ½-inch type Exmor Full HD CMOS sensors. The camera delivers HD images in 1080P, 720P, and 1080i HD resolutions and offers feature such as Slow & Quick Motion, which is also commonly known as over-cranking and under-cranking, selectable gamma curves, slow-shutter, interval recording and the Picture Profile feature. Additionally, the PMW-EX3 offers a convenient remote-control and multi-camera operation capability, which allows use with high-end camera systems.

To Fit the very precise HD requirements of the UK broadcast market, the PMW-EX3 requires a Nano Flash recorder to record rushes at 50Mb/s. The EX3 will only record 35Mb/s internally on the SxS cards.
